Most of the deer in Sierra County live over in Sierra Valley. The Mountain lion population
	has increased around Downieville. Mountain Lions main food source is deer. Cy and Diane Rollins have lived in Sierra County for many years. Cy is a Husband, Builder, Explorer, Historian, Writer, Emu rancher and Father to 4 beautiful children.
Cy and Diane, along with their daughters, Gayleen Brown, who married Larry Brown. Diane Wharff, and Diane's husband, Bob Wharff, at one time had managed the local Sierra County Campgrounds . The eldest daughter, Tammy, married Mark Helm. They have the Bed and Breakfast, located in Goodyears Bar. Cyrus Rollins, the only son, was married and is living and working in Colorado. The Rollins family has lived in and around Goodyears Bar for a number of years. Cy is actively involved in searching out the history of Goodyears Bar, Downieville and Sierra County. Cy has authored this website, www.goodyearsbar.com, to promote Goodyears Bar, the people, and a way of life.
Cy and Diane Rollins have joined and become members of the Sierra Heritage Historical Society. This organization's purpose is to preserve and protect Sierra County's Mining Heritage. Sierra Heritage Historical Society is identifying and cataloging Sierra County buildings, artifacts, and mining sites. Working and non-working sites are being identified and catalogued. Sierra Heritage Historical Society is trying to educate today's youth on the importance of saving their mining heritage. This organization is working with the Forest Service to formulate a perservation plan guaranteeing future generations a Mining Heritage. You may help.
